February Gemstone: Amethyst

You are so lucky to have an amazing color and beautiful amethyst gemstones representing your birth month. In celebration of your birth-day, bitrh-week or birth-month (however you celebrate it!) I’ve pulled together some stunning amethysts. I did sneak in a few extras too, there are so many beautiful purple stones that, I just had to share.

Purple has always been one of my favorite colors, it can be deep or light, fresh or smoky… gosh, so many shades. Once upon a time, I almost painted my bedroom a very deep plum when I was in high school. Unfortunately, mom wasn’t a fan of such a dark color, so we went with a medium green instead. But, I still remember that paint swatch like it was yesterday – such a rich color. Leave it to Pantone to have them all lined up and perfectly sorted ?

Spiritually, Amethyst is known for it’s healing and purification properties. It is also said to improve your immune system. The deeper the color is generally believed to hold the better value – but you should always pick the stone that speaks to your soul.

Look at this Amethyst Coffee Table!

With the natural vibe and organic curved beveled edge, I would buy this in a heartbeat if I thought I could afford it. Also… if I thought I didn’t see my son throwing a football at it from across the room and breaking it. *sigh* someday we will have nice things again ?

Amethyst Counter tops??

Again… money could be an issue, even with the affordability of amethyst in the gemstone world… but I would do JUST ABOUT ANYTHING to have this amethyst counter top. It is definitely one-of-a kind.
